Our Winery: Bodega Tesalia
Nestled in the Sierra de Grazalema near the historic town of Arcos de la Frontera in Cádiz, Bodega Tesalia is a family-owned winery that embodies the fusion of tradition and innovation. Established by Richard Golding and his daughter Natalia in 2010, the estate spans 106 hectares, with 12.5 hectares dedicated to meticulously cultivated vineyards and the remainder to horse breeding and farmland.
The vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate influenced by both the Mediterranean and Atlantic, with clayey soils atop chalk subsoil, ideal for varieties like Petit Verdot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and the indigenous Tintilla de Rota.Grapes are hand-harvested at night to preserve their quality, and each of the ten vineyard parcels is vinified separately to enhance complexity. The winery employs gravity-fed fermentation in small tanks and ages the wines in French oak barrels, ensuring each bottle reflects the estate's commitment to excellence .
